Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Financial Consultants, is pleased to announce that Joan M. D'Uva, CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE has been named a Director in the firm. Ms. D'uva is member of the firm's Litigation and Valuation Services Group and has extensive experience in appraisal and valuation of business personal assets in matrimonial cases, as well as damage measurement in civil, tort and criminal litigation. She also has extensive experience in fraud investigations for corporate clients including employee embezzlement issues and has earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation. During her more than 20-year career, she has served as an expert witness, as well as a court-appointed appraiser and valuation expert. Ms. D'Uva is a recipient of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation, is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and is an Accredited Business Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ABV). Ms. D'Uva received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Montclair State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
