November 11, 2004 Philip H. Politziner Announced as Winner of
New Jersey Technology Council 2004 Award Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Financial Consultants, announced that Philip H. Politziner, firm president, has been named the winner of the John H. Martinson Technology Supporter Award for the 2004 New Jersey Technology Council Gala Awards, held November 5, 2004 in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The NJTC Gala Awards are given each year to New Jersey individuals and companies that represent the State's best and brightest. The John H. Martinson Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated a significant commitment to the support and advancement of technology in New Jersey. As an entrepreneur who nearly 40 years ago started his own business, Phil Politziner, President and Founding Partner of Amper, Politziner & Mattia, knows first hand the value of "Seeing beyond the numbers." And he determined all those years ago to create a business with that philosophy. His vision for the firm he helped found has evolved through the years, keeping pace with the changing marketplace. Today, Amper is the 32nd largest CPA firm in the United States, with offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. In the late 1990's, Phil saw an opportunity to develop a specialty serving technology companies. As a regional firm of just under 300 employees, Amper was in a perfect position, he felt, to serve those companies that the "Big 4" found less cost effective to focus on. Under his leadership, the Amper Technology Group practice was launched. Co-directed by Alan Wink and Brian Downey, the newly-formed group concentrated its efforts learning about the industry and the issues technology companies were facing. They then spent time meeting with venture capitalists, angels, law firms and banks in the technology space. From the start, they operated with a mission of producing a great product and paying attention to the client. They put together a team of professionals from accounting, tax and consulting with diversified backgrounds and the experience to assist technology companies in meeting their goals and succeeding in this challenging marketplace.
