February 13, 2003 Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Financial Consultants with offices in New Jersey and New York, has become an affiliate of the Family Business Forum.
Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Financial Consultants with offices in New Jersey and New York, has become an affiliate of the Family Business Forum. The Forum, an educational/networking program for companies that are owned and run by families, is part of the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Leo J. Rogers, Institute Director, said, "As an affiliate, Amper, Politziner & Mattia helps to underwrite the Family Business Forum, and is available to share its expertise and experience with member family businesses on request. They will be a valuable asset to our members and to the University." Amper, Politziner & Mattia succeeds PricewaterhouseCoopers as the accountant affiliate of the Forum. "We have a long tradition of serving family-run businesses, so we are delighted to be affiliated with the Family Business Forum," Alan Wink, Director, Consultants to Management, said. "Family businesses play such an important role in New Jersey’s economy." Amper, Politziner & Mattia is the 29th largest firm in the country and has five offices in New Jersey, in Edison, Princeton, Flemington, Wall Township and Rochelle Park. The Family Business Forum, now in its tenth year, hosts six programs a year, featuring national and regional facilitators dealing with issues unique to family-run businesses. "This year’s theme is Building Winning Family Business Teams," said Rogers, "and features a series of programs, including "A Management Playbook for Family Business, Keeping Everyone Involved, and Business Killers in the Family Business." The Forum also hosts, for its members, peer-group meetings for owners/founders and the successor generation, and recently inaugurated a peer group for women, regardless of their gender or position in the family or business, Rogers said.
