EDISON - Alfonse M. Mattia CPA has been appointed to serve on the AICPA’s Nominations Committee. The committee is charged with serving as Trustees for nominees to the Board of Directors.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. Its mission is to provide members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit the public as well as employers and clients.

Mr. Mattia previously served three years on the Assurance Services Executive Committee at the AICPA and has been a long-term member of the AICPA Major Firms Group. He has also served as a member of “The Group of 100," a national group formed by the AICPA to protect the public interest and position the accounting profession for the future.

Mr. Mattia is a Founding Partner of Amper, Politziner & Mattia, a regional accounting and consulting firm that is one of the 25 largest in the United States. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Jersey and New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Harvard Business School Club of New York.
