EDISON - Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, is pleased to announce that Steven J. Mayer CPA has joined the firm as Partner-in-Charge of the New York City office.

As Partner-in-Charge of Amper's New York office, Mr. Mayer is directly responsible for ensuring client service, quality and client relations. Prior to joining Amper, Mr. Mayer was the co-managing partner of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP's New York office.

With more than 28 years of public accounting experience, Mr. Mayer's expertise includes overseeing SEC compliance requirements in respect to their financial reporting, initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. He has also assisted both private and public companies with financial management, obtaining financing, overhead and operational reviews, long-range planning and other strategic operational areas. Among the industry sectors Mr. Mayer has served are retail, service, apparel and textile, manufacturing and distribution.

Mr. Mayer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a resident of East Brunswick.
