Litigation and Tax Services Senior Manager Promotions
Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, is pleased to announce the following individuals have been promoted from Manager to Senior Manager.
Tammy Hersh MBA, CPA/ABV, CFE is a Senior Manager in the firm's Litigation and Valuation Group. Ms. Hersh has more than ten years of accounting experience specializing in forensic accounting, fraud, matrimonial litigation, business valuations and commercial litigation. She has earned the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation, has received the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation and has completed the American Society of Appraisers' four-part course of study required to achieve membership status within the organization.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York and New Jersey Ms. Hersh received a B.B.A. in Marketing and an MBA in Public Accounting from Pace University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Gary Lewis CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Tax Services Group and has more than 20 years of tax and accounting experience in both the private sector and mid-sized public accounting firms. He specializes in the areas of accounting and tax planning and compliance.
Mr. Lewis has extensive experience and expertise with the review of corporation, partnership, individual, fiduciary and tax-exempt entity tax returns as well as representation at Federal and state and local tax audits. His diversified client base includes retail, real estate, brokerage, entertainment, professional service firms and technology companies, with additional areas of concentration in corporate tax matters such as tax-free reorganizations, acquisitions and due diligence, as well as partnership transactions and issues involving high net worth individuals.
Mr. Lewis earned his Master of Science in Taxation from Baruch College and his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from S.U.N.Y at Buffalo. He is a licensed CPA in the State of New York CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
