Accounting and Auditing Partners Join Amper
Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, is pleased to announce that the following individuals have been promoted to Partners in the firm.
David M. Capodanno CPA is a Partner in the Accounting and Auditing Department and serves on the firm's Public Companies and International Services Groups providing accounting, auditing and business consulting services to businesses in a variety of industries in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, he assists his clients in SEC compliance, acquisitions and forensic investigations including employee embezzlement issues.
Mr. Capodanno has over 20 years of diverse technical and practical experience with both national and regional accounting firms and as principal accounting partner of a publicly traded company.
Mr. Capodanno received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Capodanno is a frequent author and presenter on complex accounting issues and Sarbanes-Oxley. He is a resident of Westfield.
Joan M. D'Uva, CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE is a Partner in the firm's Litigation and Valuation Group and is an Accredited Business Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, a Certified Public Accountant and recipient of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant's Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation. During her more than 25-year career, Ms. D'Uva has served as an expert witness, as well as a court-appointed appraiser and valuation expert.
Ms. D'Uva has extensive experience in appraisal and valuation of business assets and personal assets in matrimonial cases, as well as damage measurement in civil, tort and criminal litigation. She also has extensive experience in fraud investigations for corporate clients including employee embezzlement issues and has earned the certified fraud examiner designation.
Ms. D'Uva received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Montclair State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University. Joan is a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served as chair for various litigation and dispute resolution committees. A frequent speaker and author, Joan has taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a resident of Lebanon.
